Press Information Bureau (PIB) releases news related to the policies, programmes, initiatives and achievements of the Government of India. PIB releases are important to be read for the RBI Grade B, NABARD Grade A, UPSC Civil Services however, it is also equally important is to know which PIB Article should be read and which to be left.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) is the nodal agency of the government of India to broadcast and publicize information on government policies, initiatives, achievements and working of every ministry and department within the government through its official website using various articles, images and photographs.

PM to interact with beneficiaries and stakeholders of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa programme

• Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa Scheme has been launched by the Goa state government.

The major objective is to ensure that every village in the state becomes self-reliant (aatm nirbhar) by “harnessing resources available within the area”.

• In this scheme, benefits of all the state and central government schemes are to be brought to the doorsteps of people. 
• As a part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampoorna Goa initiative, government officers, teachers and students will reach out to each and every village panchayat. 
• In addition to the government officers, “Swayampoorna Mitra” namely teachers and students would also be involved in Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa Scheme.
• Under the programme, govt. will perform skill mapping of the population and resource identification of villages to ensure that every village become self-sustainable.

Fourth Assembly of the International Solar Alliance closes with a promise to achieve $1 trillion global in solar investments by 2030

• A total of 108 countries participated in the Assembly, including 74 Member Countries and 34 Observer & Prospective Countries, 23 Partner Organizations and 33 Special Invitee Organizations also participated.

It was presided by Union  Minister Shri R.K. Singh, Minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy, Government of India and the President of the ISA

• ISA targets US$1 trillion of investment in solar by 2030
• UK and India will together bring the ‘Green Girds Initiative’ and ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’ at COP26
• The concept of a single global grid (OSOWOG) for solar was first outlined at the First Assembly of the ISA in late 2018.
• The International Solar Alliance (ISA) also announced a partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies to mobilize $1 trillion in global investments for solar energy across ISA’s member countries.
• The two organizations will work with World Resources Institute (WRI) to develop a Solar Investment Action Agenda and a Solar Investment Roadmap, which will be launched at COP26.

152 SAKSHAM Centres (Centre for Financial Literacy & Service Delivery) launched under DAY-NRLM

• Centre for Financial Literacy & Service Delivery (CFL&SD) would act as one stop solution/single window system for basic financial needs of Self-Help Group (SHG) households in rural areas
• The main objective of the center is to provide financial literacy & facilitate delivery of financial services (savings, credit, insurance, pensions etc.) to SHG members and rural poor. 
• These Centers will be managed by SHG network, largely at the level of the Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), with the help of trained Community Resource Persons (CRPs).
• These trained CRPs are provided six days residential training at Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) established by the Lead Bank of the district
• Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) has also developed a mobile & web-based application called “SAKSHAM” which will be used by the community resource person

Notification issued for setting up of 7 Mega Integrated Textile  Region  and  Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks with a total outlay of Rs. 4,445 crore.

• Envisaged to help India in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9: “Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation”.
• Inspired by the 5F vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister - Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign
• PM MITRA Parks will offer an opportunity to create an integrated textiles value chain right from spinning, weaving, processing/dyeing and printing to garment manufacturing at 1 location
• Intended to generate ~1 lakh direct and2 lakh indirect employment per park
• The 7 PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks will be setup at Greenfield / Brownfield sites located in different willing States

Proposals of State Governments having ready availability of contiguous and encumbrance-free land parcel of 1,000+ acres along with other textiles related facilities & ecosystem will prioritized.

• For a Greenfield PM MITRA park, the GOI Development Capital Support will be 30% of the Project Cost, with a cap of ₹500 Cr. 
• For Brownfield sites, after assessment, Development Capital Support @30% of project cost of balance infrastructure and other support facilities to be developed and restricted to a limit of Rs. 200 Crore.
• Competitiveness Incentive Support (CIS) of ₹300 Crore will also be provided to each PM MITRA park for early establishment of textiles manufacturing units in PM MITRA Park

PM MITRA park will be developed by a Special Purpose Vehicle which will be owned by State Government and Government of India in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Mode.
